For many people of color living with OCD, the journey to seeking help can be uniquely
challenging. Enduring shame around intrusive thoughts and feeling “different” or “broken “often
leads to silence and isolation. The pressure to be resilient and work “twice as hard” in the
midst of systemic inequities makes it painfully difficult to prioritize mental wellness. As a Black
therapist, I deeply understand the weight of cultural and societal expectations that many
BIPOC folk carry every day. I know what it’s like to navigate spaces where you may feel
unseen, misunderstood or judged simply for being yourself.
I am passionate about dismantling the stigmas that keep people of color from seeking the care
they deserve. I firmly believe that ERP is the gold standard for treating OCD and offers a
pathway to freedom. This work isn’t easy, but it is transformative. Through ERP my clients learn
that they are stronger than their fears and that they can live rich, fulfilling lives that align with
their values-not their anxieties.
With a diverse background spanning community mental health, psychological research, day
treatment programs, school-based therapy, and private practice, I bring a wealth of experience
to my work. I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this alone. I work with clients
struggling with anxiety, complex trauma, and prolonged grief. Therapy is not about fixing you;
it’s about giving you the tools to live freely and authentically in a world that hasn’t always made
